I would have had Mr Lyons in there somwhere especially for the performance at Newcastle, which i reckon was the best maximum away that i have ever seen probably.

Keep smiling 8-)

Has everyone forgotten Dave Jessop, long time heat leader. Glenn Baxter wasn't to be messed around either.

1 Richard Knight - made a world final
2 Mel Taylor - probably the most natural rider Mildenhall produced
3 Eric Managhan - even put a smile on Mel Taylor's face
4 Carl Blackbird - anyone who saw him at the 4TT and Edinburgh will know why!
5 Dave Jessup - sheer class
6 Ray Bales - ditto
7 Bob Coles - without whom there would be no Mildenhall speedway.

(1) Dave Jessop
(2) Robert Henry
(3) Mel Taylor
(4) Richard Knight
(5) Jason Lyons
(6) Kyle Legault
(7) Daniel King

wind the clock back 30 years, sunny afternoon in West Row, no dog track, 2000 people in attendance, both turnstiles open, the riders throwing sweets out in bags to the kids, me running up and down the huge slide that used to be there ! asking dad for another bottle of coke, with my replica tigers race jacket on..... happy days......
